The Venue
Whirlowbrook Hall was built in 1906 as the family home of Sir Walter Benton-Jones, a leading industrialist in the city. It is located around five miles south west of Sheffield city centre, close to the county border of Derbyshire and on the edge of the Peak District National Park on the Sheffield-Hathersage A635.It stands in 39 acres of landscaped gardens which are open to the public, as is the café attached to the Hall.
The venue has a reputation for premier quality weddings, conferences and events, at an affordable price. On the outskirts of a major city and only a stones throw from the Peak District, Whirlowbrook Hall offers the best of all worlds - ease of access, combined with style, tradition,award-winning food and a tranquil location.
Whirlowbrook Hall is operated by Fretwell-Downing. The family-run business also owns The Maynard, a quality hotel and restaurant in Grindleford, just a few short miles away in the Derbyshire countryside.
